Citizens Assistance


The S.C. Department of Social Services offers emergency assistance to individuals in need. DSS Emergency Assistance makes referrals to other agencies such as HELP of Beaufort, Salvation Army, United Way of the Lowcountry and St. Vincent DePaul Outreach. For residents living south of the Broad River, there is the Bluffton Self-Help and Deep Well as well as other groups.
