COUNTY BUILDING INSPECTOR EARNS GREEN CERTIFICATION

Beaufort County commercial building inspector Hakim Bayyoud earned the Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation from the National Association of Home Builders on December 30.

 

Bayyoud is an engineer who serves as the County’s chief plans examiner. He is also certified in flood plain management, commercial energy and several other specialties related to the construction industry including wind, concrete, plumbing, seismic activity and damage inspections and others.

 

Bayyoud has been with Beaufort County since November, 2003. He is a former college instructor, research engineer and has conducted studies on light gauge steel. He holds a

Ph.D. in engineering sciences from Zaporozhe State Technical University in the Ukraine, a master’s degree in electromechanical engineering and an associate’s degree in home inspections from Stratford Institute.

 

He is a native of Jordan and an American citizen.
