BROAD RIVER BOAT RAMP TO CLOSE FOR IMPROVEMENTS
Construction Begins Week of November 9 – Expected to Take Six Months
Construction is expected to begin the week of Nov. 9 on the Broad River Boat Ramp, which will require Beaufort County to close the ramp for about six months while the improvements are made.
Meanwhile, the fishing pier will remain open to the public and limited parking will also be available.
BeaufortCounty has awarded the $1,227,143 contract to R. L. Morrison & Sons, Inc to build a concrete, two-lane ramp, a courtesy dock and a 50’X 500’ dredged entrance channel.
