COUNTY OFFERS TELEVISED INTERCONNECTIVITY

Public Comments Broadcast from Beaufort/Hilton Head and Vice Verse

Citizens who live north of the Broad River can now participate in Beaufort County Council meetings held on Hilton Head Island via televised interconnectivity.

Those who want to offer their input during Monday’s council meeting on Hilton Head Island may do so by coming to council chambers on the first floor of the CountyAdministrationBuilding, 100 Ribaut Road, Beaufort. The meeting starts at 4 p.m.

Beaufort County Administrator Gary Kubic sought to establish the two-way connection to make it more convenient for residents north and south of the Broad River to have their say during council meetings held across the river. “This is part of the development of our television infrastructure. It’s all about accessibility and transparency and expanded opportunities for citizen engagement in the government process.”
