Emergency Medical Services

All field personnel are required to attend monthly In-service training. Employees are compensated in the same manner as they are on the ambulance (overtime after 40 hours worked per week).. Employees who successfully complete all required In-services within their certification period are recertified through South Carolina DHEC without additional cost to the employee.

We pay the cost of tuition and books for paramedic training through an outside agency, and arrange the employee's work schedule around the class schedule. We do not pay the employee's time in paramedic class.
