In regards to the 2011 tax bill you recently received
Checks should be made payable to Beaufort County Treasurer and mailed to;
Property Tax P O Box 890648 Charlotte NC 28289-0648If the mortgage company listed on your green and white bill is not correct, contact your mortgage company.
If you received a green and white bill and you have paid off your mortgage, please contact our office.
If you received a blue and white tax bill which mentions a mortgage being paid off, please disregard the mortgage portion.
Additional Information
- In addition to the Treasurer’s Office locations, for your convenience full cash or check payments for current due real estate and personal property taxes will be accepted at the BB&T branches listed below and a receipt will be provided at the time of payment:
- Beaufort Main BB&T – 1 Kemmerlin Lane
- Beaufort – Port Republic BB&T – 95 Port Republic Street
- Hilton Head Main BB&T – 1008 William Hilton Parkway
- Bluffton Main BB&T – 2 Burnt Church Road
- Yemassee Branch – 33 Salkehatchie Road
- Payments by credit card will no longer be accepted by mail or fax. Credit card payments will only be accepted online at www.bcgov.net or in the Treasurer’s office.
- Mailed payments will now be processed by lockbox, which is an electronic processing system. To ensure proper processing of your payment please include your name, address, phone number and RevObjId from your bill on your check.
- There will be a $30.00 Non-sufficient funds charge for any check returned by the bank.
Caution: All correspondence and/or payments mailed through a courier service as in FedEx, UPS, U. S. Postal courier, must be mailed to Treasurer's, Beaufort Office Street Address.
