The following is information about Beaufort County’s Courts.

·        The Clerk of Court - Jerri Ann Roseneau; for civil matters call 843-255-5050 and for criminal matters call 843-255-5057. The Clerk of Court manages information about civil cases, the fee schedule, judgments and the court schedule in Beaufort County.

·        Master in Equity – Judge Marvin H. Dukes, III; for information call 843-255-5713. Foreclosure and property bidding information is located in this area.

·        Family Court – for information call 843-255 -5660. This Court handles matters such as divorce, child support, alimony, domestic abuse cases, child custody and juvenile cases.

·      The Probate Court - Probate Judge Francis M. Simon; for information call 843-255-5850.  This court is responsible for matters related to decedents' estates, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, conservatorships and guardianships for incapacitated adults, conservatorships for minors, involuntary commitment of individuals who are mentally ill or chemically dependent, issuance of marriage licenses, etc.

·        The Magistrate Court - Judge Darlene Smith; for the main Magistrate Court call 843-255-5700. Magistrate Court manages jury trials, jury duty, fraudulent checks, citizen options, and summons/warrants.
