Board

To advise Council, County Staff, and County Departments in matters concerning the provisions of ongoing programs in prevention, intervention, treatment, and aftercare for alcohol and drug abuse problems. The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Department of Beaufort County is the sole entity authorized to receive funds for such purpose.

  • Meetings are held bi-monthly on the third Monday at 9:30 a.m.
  • Meetings last approximately two hours.
  • Meeting locations alternate between northern and southern Beaufort County.
  • A background in substance abuse and/or addiction and a keen interest in community prevention activities is desired.
