Storyteller visits county March 10-12
Storyteller and author Bobby Norfolk will bring his message
of respect, responsibility, honesty, self-esteem and cooperation to children
across Beaufort County March 10-12 during a series of presentations. His
visit is sponsored by the Beaufort County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Council
and is made possible in part through a Beaufort County Block Development
Grant.
Norfolk is the author of The Moral of the Story: Character Education for
the Classroom. Topics for his presentations will range from overcoming
adversity and the negative impact of drugs and gangs to scary tales of
monsters, dragons and ogres.
On March 10, Norfolk will be at Beaufort High School and the Boys and
Girls Club of Beaufort. On March 11, he visits Battery Creek High School,
the Arts in the Park program, Mossy Oaks Elementary School, and the Boys
and Girls Club of Hilton Head. On March 12, Norfolk will be at Lowcountry
Human Development Center, Project SOAR, and Whale Branch Middle School.
